In 2023, France 24 launched a consultation to refresh the visual identity of one of its programmes — a weekly twelve-minute magazine on women shaping international news in a world still largely dominated by men. The occasion was the show's tenth anniversary.
News channels operate on stimulation: profusion, speed, short attention. But the subjects this show treats — the women rewriting cultures, economies, politics — don't belong to breaking news. They belong to historical time, unfolding across decades. The visual language had to reflect that depth, not compete with it.
We proposed three creative tracks anchored in this insight: Collages, Blur, and Demi-teintes — each an editorial register that slows the eye.
